Our Mission is to advocate for education professionals and to unite our members, Kansans, and the nation to fulfill the promise of public education to prepare every student to succeed in a diverse and interdependent world

 

Our NEA Strategic Goals are: supporting quality public schools, strengthening the teaching profession, and improving the well-being of members.

Our Local Strategic Goals are: Recruit, retain, and engage a diverse community of educators to strengthen our collective power, Organize around issues that ensure equity and excellence for students and educators in SMSD, Encourage members to find their role and power within the union.
